Painting and creativity have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I suppose I never grew out of that childlike delight in splashing bright colours onto paper and canvas. I briefly attended art school as a teenager but just didn’t believe that a full time art career was a realistic option for me. So it became a hobby which I returned to on and off through my years at university and into my career as a librarian. It wasn’t until the lockdown of 2020 that I started to paint in earnest. I found it a source of comfort and hope during a difficult time and wanted to share my art with others to bring some light into the darkness. This continues to be my passion.
